Hospital Health Care
Parma Community Genearl Hospital, the only successful, independent community hospital, continues to provide access to affordable, quality health care. Ranked among the 100 Top Hospitals by Solucient, the hospital is the second largest employer in Parma and the twenty-ninth larger employer in Cuyahoga County. The hospital is a preferred provider for all major health insurance plans and is served by an independent medical staff of nearly 600 physicians covering 30 specialties.
Since 1998, Parma Hospital has invested nearly $70 million i facilities and technology in areas such as the outpatient SurgiCenter, the Center for Intensive Care, an expanded Emergency Department, the Heart Center, Season of Life Residential Hospice, the Cancer Center and Small Wonders maternity center.
The hospital's range of services also includes advanced diagnostic laboratory and radiologic technology, a skilled nursing facility, two Elder Centers providing adult da care, and a Health Education Center offering screenings, support groups, and health and fitness classes.
