For more than 200 area businesses, the North Royalton Chamber of Commerce is the place to turn for information, benefits, networking, and socialization. The Chamber continues to grow because of the value it offers its members, in addition to the support and assistance it provides. Based at 13737 State Road, the Chamber and its publication, the Royalton Recorder, are truly the hub of the community. This is the office where existing or potential businesses and residents call to collect information about North Royalton.
The Chamber was founded in 1918 for the purpose of advancing and developing the commercial, industrial, civic, cultural and general interests of the City and its trade area. Businesses in the areas of manufacturing, retail, professional, and service trades are joined as a dedicated group of civic-minded business leaders who care about North Royalton and strive toward its positive growth and development.
Through its affiliation with the Northern Ohio Area Chambers of Commerce, the Chamber (www.noacc.org) is able to offer its members some very tangible savings in the way of health care insurance, workers compensation premiums, credit card processing, retirement plan administration, overnight delivery, just to name a few. Chamber members also enjoy savings when advertising in the Royalton Recorder.
The Chamber awards scholarships to deserving students entering college. Other events sponsored by the Chamber include the Annual State of the City Address, a Golf Outing, and the North Royalton City Schools Annual Community Report. Additionally, monthly general membership meetings are held and include speakers on a variety of subjects of interest. After-hours networking events are also held throughout the year. The Community Festival, Festival Pageant and Parade are also sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce.
A true source of pride for the Chamber is the Royalton Recorder, the community newspaper which is now celebrating its 70th year in publication. The Recorder is the recipient of numerous journalism awards, and was voted the Best Community Newspaper in Northeast Ohio Three Years in a Row by the Neighborhood and Community Press Association. The Recorder has a circulation of almost 16,000 and is the only newspaper delivered to every home and business in North Royalton, plus a portion of Broadview Heights twice a month. It contains news and information relative to the residents of our city. In addition to the Recorder, the Chamber also publishes the North Royalton City Map, an online City Profile and Chamber Directory, and a Business Card Directory.
